Our community model.
Current Pune Trekkers community treks are not organized for profit. Every event posted in the group must have costs shared equally among participants; posts that do not meet this guideline are not permitted. This website does not claim registered NGO, charity or company status and does not accept donations or sell trek packages.
Organizer cost-share option.
This option applies only to Maharashtra treks with 10 or more participants. It is optional and always the organizer’s decision. One organizer may choose to have their full cost covered; two organizers may choose to have 50% of each organizer’s cost covered; and three or more organizers may choose to have 33% of each organizer’s cost covered. This is intended to share the effort and encourage members to volunteer to lead treks.
Plans and places.
A proposed trek is not confirmed. A confirmed listing still depends on current conditions and organizer updates. Community membership does not reserve a place. Follow the specific registration process and wait for explicit confirmation. No registration or payment is completed through this website.
Expenses, changes and cancellations.
Check the estimate, included items, excluded items, payment arrangements and cancellation policy before committing. Final costs can change with group size and supplier charges. Organizers should communicate changes and explain how actual shared costs are divided.
Refunds depend on recoverable costs, supplier terms and any agreed replacement process. There is no blanket refund promise. Route or weather changes may affect transport and other shared commitments; the trek-specific briefing should explain the settlement process.
Preparation and responsibility.
Pune Trekkers is a platform for trekkers to connect. Organizers and admins are not responsible for safety, mishaps or planning. Join treks at your own risk, verify all details and prepare responsibly. Review the difficulty, route, equipment and physical demands. Tell the coordinator privately about support needs relevant to safe participation. Follow the group’s instructions and check-in arrangements. Outdoor activities carry risks; joining a group cannot remove them.
Respect and privacy.
Do not DM other members. You may message only the person organizing a trip. The code of conduct applies to every participant. Respect boundaries, avoid harassment, and ask permission before sharing photos or personal information. Removal from a group or activity may be considered for serious or repeated misconduct.
Future ventures.
Any future commercial offering must be separately described with its operator, terms, price and relationship to the community. No such offering is available on this site.
