Who this website is for.
This website serves the Pune Trekkers community. General website and privacy enquiries can be sent to amit1.deshwal@gmail.com. We do not claim registered NGO, charity or company status.
Information you choose to share.
The join, volunteer and contact forms use your name, email and message to prepare an email draft on your device. They do not submit these details to a website database or save them in browser storage. You must open the draft and send it in your email app. Only then will your email provider and the receiving inbox process the message.
If you email us, the recipient receives the message and normal email metadata. Use the minimum information needed. Do not include health information, emergency contacts, identity documents or payment details in these website forms.
Why information is used.
Messages are used to respond to enquiries, review invitation or volunteer requests, and handle corrections or photo-removal requests. Do not assume that writing to us registers you for a trek. Trek registration and emergency information need a separate, clearly explained process.
Access and retention.
The general contact is currently a personal Gmail inbox. Its owner can access messages, and Gmail processes them under its own terms. The community has not yet confirmed an operational email-retention schedule; do not assume automatic deletion after a fixed period. Request deletion through the contact above. Any necessary retention, such as an unresolved dispute, should be explained.
Before launch, organizers should approve a named data contact and a retention schedule. The proposed emergency-contact rule is set out in the safety guidelines; this website does not collect those details.
Website delivery and analytics.
The hosting provider may process technical data such as IP address, request time, browser information and error logs to deliver and protect the website. Fonts are served locally. Website forms do not create tracking cookies.
Optional aggregate Vercel analytics is disabled in the current configuration. No analytics script is loaded by this website.
Photographs and testimonials.
Only approved site administrators can add photographs and videos to the public gallery. If you do not want your image on the website, contact us with the page URL so we can review and remove it. Testimonials and team profiles are published only with the person’s approval.
Original gallery images that have not been imported remain available only in local review. We avoid identifying minors in gallery uploads.
Removal, correction and deletion.
Contact us with the relevant page and item. You do not need to justify requesting removal of your image. We may need minimal information to locate the item or verify a request. We cannot guarantee removal of copies held by unrelated websites or other people.
Other platforms.
WhatsApp and email providers have their own privacy terms. Joining a WhatsApp group may expose your number and profile information to other members. Invitations are shared through a controlled review process, not a public group link.
